Purfleet is a 28-minute, or 16-mile journey east from Central London’s Fenchurch Street train station, and is in the London fare zone 6.
Purfleet is a town in the borough of Thurrock in Essex. Its population is approximately 12,000 residents, and is contained between the A13 road to the north and the River Thames to the south and is within the easterly bounds of the M25 motorway. Purfleet is bordered to the west by the Rainham Marshes, and its Purfleet Chalk Pits is a site special scientific interest.
